ECONOMIC RESTRUCTURING COMMITTEE

This group works at keeping its finger on the pulse of economic development in the County, City and Downtown. The Committee meets monthly to work on projects aimed at:
  • Attracting new businesses
  • Retaining existing businesses
  • Identifying “problem properties” and taking action to rectify those problems
  • Identifying the issues that affect business in the downtown (i.e. parking, bus service, hours of operation…etc.)
  • Targeting businesses to attract to the downtown
  • Sponsoring seminars related to doing business in the downtown.
This group works hand in hand with Code enforcement and the Chamber of Commerce to accomplish it’s goals
